How to send a Workflow SMS. Just follow the steps below:



1. Go to Setting> Workflow Rules .






2. click Create Rule









3. Create New Rule
Module:(select a Module were this workflow to take effect. e.g. Leads)
Rule Name: (set a Rule Name like this ,e.g. SMS lead after receiving lead from website)
Description: (optional)

>>click Next






4. Choose when do you want to execute the rule?
e.g: • On a record action
          • Create
    click Next



 

5. On Condition:   ◉ Leads matching certain conditions.
                                    ①"Set some criteria for the workflow rule (e.g. only run it where the Lead Status is Not Contacted)" 
                                 

                                    ≫ Next




6. on Instant Actions  ≫ Create Record






7. On Create Record you can set the following like this:
(e.g:
                              Record Type :  Twilio SMS Messages
                                       Layout :  Standard
     Twilio SMS Message Name :  Send to ${Leads.First Name}${Leads.Last Name} via workflow       (Type # to insert merge field)
    Twilio SMS Message Owner :  Users |  Logged in User
                                    Currency :  AUD
                                                To :  ${Leads.Mobile}      (Type # to insert merge field)
                                     Message :  Hi${Leads.First Name}, thanks for reaching out. We'll be in touch shortly.
                                            From :  Enter the Twilio number you want to send from, e.g. +61429357686
                                   LeadName :  ${Current Record}      (Type # to insert merge field)
        Trigger Send via Workflow :  Tick in a box  (important)

when done click ≫ Save
