Troubleshooting

If you have any strange errors using the Twilio extension, the first thing to do is make sure that you have done everything in the setup checklist.

If you've done that and are still having issues, here are some of the common problems you might encounter:

Messenger widget not appearing
If you can't see the cool iMessage style widget, please follow the instructions here.

Inbound SMS not appearing
1. Make sure you've set up webhooks
2. Check the Twilio SMS Messages module to see if the inbound SMS are appearing connected to an unknown number - if this happens, it may indicate that there is a problem with the format of the phone number. Please contact us ( team@ethicaltechnology.co) as I believe I've handled all of these kinds of cases.

Error message when attempting to message a lead/contact without a phone number

This message is a bit confusing (we're going to update it). It means that the lead/contact does not have anything in any of the normal phone fields (Phone, Mobile and Whatsapp number for Twilio).
If you want to use a custom field, please follow the instructions here.

Confusing error messages

If you get an error like this, please:
1. Check that you haven't hidden any of the Twilio modules. All of them must be available. Click here to see a video tutorial on how to enable them
2. Follow the debugging steps in this video and share the information with team@ethicaltechnology.co
